| A. |
Trailer
Life RV Campground Finder v. 3.0 is the latest update available

|
|
| Q. |
Is
there a manual? |
| A. |
No.
However, most operation questions can be answered using the
on-line help feature. With
the program running and the CD-ROM disk in the drive, select
"Help" and choose the desired topic.
Printing the topic for review away from the computer may be
helpful.
It
is recommended
that you take a look at the online tutorial, which contains basic

clicking on Help, click on the Contents tab, and then on Trailer
Life RV Campground Finder Tutorial. Sections are provided on

|
|
| Q. |
When
I zoom in, the map turns yellow, and streets do not appear. |
| A. |
That
is an indication that the program can’t locate the data on the
CD-ROM disk.
1.
Make sure the CD-ROM disk is in the CD-ROM drive.
2.
In the program, select "File",
"Configure", “Map Data Drive”.
3.
Select proper drive for location for map data.
It
is possible that the cursor has zoomed to areas not in the United
States such as Canada or Mexico.
Click the "Zoom USA" button to view the entire
continent.
If,
by zooming into the desired location and the specific street you are
looking for does not appear, but surrounding streets do, please see
the answer to "When I search for a street or city, I get the
message "No Matches Found" or click here
for more information.

|
|
| Q. |
When
I search for a street or city, I get the message "No matches
found". |
| A. |
It
is possible that the program can’t locate the data on the CD-ROM
disk, that the spelling is incorrect, or that the street or city
isn’t in the database.
1.
Make sure the CD-ROM disk is in the CD-ROM drive.
2. Check the spelling of the street or place. Occasionally,
unexpected spaces in words are found in
the directory. For example, when looking for
"DeKalb, IL", traditionally spelled as one word, the
search option will only find it if a space is
added (De Kalb, IL).
3. Simplify the search by clarifying your entries. As an example,
instead of looking for "South State
Street" try looking for "State."
If
roads do not appear, refer to the question "When
I zoom in, the map turns yellow"

|
|
| Q. |
When
I zoom in to the 3000 foot scale, I see small rectangles with
numbers inside them. What
are they, and what do the numbers mean? |
| A. |
The
blocks indicate landmarks, and the numbers refer to a landmark type
– lakes, ponds, schools, cemeteries, hills, etc.
If you zoom to the 1000 foot scale or less, the landmark
names and icon will replace the numbered blocks. Click on
Help, and look up "Landmarks" to find a listing of what
each landmark number represents.

|
|
| Q. |
Can
I run the Program without a CD-ROM? |
| A. |
Yes.
Look in your help files, under "Optimize Program Speed"

|
|

When
I open 'Trailer Life RV Campground Finder 2.0', it asks me if the CD
is in the CD-ROM. Do I have to wait the suggested 10 sec., every
time I open the program? |
| A. |
If
the CD was in the drive before that message appeared, then 'no' you
don't have to wait. But if you just put the CD in the CD-ROM
when it asked for it, then 'yes' you have to wait. The reason for
this is that when you insert the CD into the drive, it needs around
10 sec. to be able to access the information on the CD to run the
program correctly.

|
|

I know the red and blue P's are campgrounds, but why are they different colors. Also why are
there different colored (red and blue) circles with S's, A's, and H's in them?
|
| A. |

Why
does a ‘Location Information’ dialog box appear when I try to
view a campground after searching by name? |
| A. |
The
Location Information dialog box displays when the selected
campground doesn't have a valid latitude/longitude coordinate
associated with it. Rather than display the campground at an
incorrect location on the map or not include the campground in the
database, the dialog box appears, showing the same information as
the Location Tab.

|
|
|
| Q. |
I
can't find a way to map out a route. Can the program do this? |

This
function is not available in the current release. Look for it
