Brazil Dataset 2007 for MapPro71 Rel.2   from Tele Atlas (Requires MapPro71 Rel. 2 SDK or Later)

The Brazilian Dataset available for use with the MapPro71, Rel. 2 SDK is based on the Dynamap^®/Brazil Transportation data from Tele Atlas. The information that follows is a description of that data set, prior to its being processed into tightly integrated and compressed data files in the MapPro71 format.

Dynamap®/Brazil Transportation is a vector-based, digital, geographic database in which streets and features are represented as line segments, polygons or points. Dynamap®/Brazil Transportation contains addressed and unaddressed street segments as well as railroads, airports, point features (churches, schools, public buildings, hospitals), area features (parks, golf courses) and water features. It also has state, município and postal code boundaries.

Dynamap®/Brazil Transportation is the most data-intensive nationwide routing street network available. There are more streets with current addresses and routing information than in any other database. The currentness of the data and completeness of the coverage set Dynamap®/Brazil Transportation apart from all other commercially available databases. The Tele Atlas® master internal database is updated continuously with new streets and address ranges; changes in street names; and additions and changes to CEP Codes.

The Brazilian dataset also includes Landmark layers: Airports, Parks, Favelas, Recreation Areas, Transportation Terminals, Government or Civil Institutions, Major Retail Centers and Large Area Landmarks. This landmark structure provides increased flexibility and a more useful product for business geographics applications.
