New dbf correction doesn't work

Postby RMiller » Thu Feb 14, 2013 4:17 pm

I just saw there is an update to precision mapping 9 having to do with dbase files. Well, I have been trying to connect to dbf's of points I have collected over the years for months now and was having problems. I *just* downloaded the new updated and now I can see the points in some of my dbf files, but not in others. Is this a half-ass fix/update? Shouldn't I be able to see all the points in all my dbf's ?

Have you checked the dbf files to make sure they are not corrupted or something. It doesn't make much sense that it would work with some files but not others. BTW, if you want to send me a small dbf with a private message, I'll take a look and see if it works for me.

Oops, I checked the dbf file and sure enough, a bunch of points appear to have "bad" coordinates (zero). Of course, any such points ended up being off the coast of Africa, as expected.

Sorry about the false alarm. It appears to be a problem with my data file and not the program.
